I Will Sing

It’s easy to sing when you’re excited. Personally, I feel most free with a loud car stereo pumping out my favorite Christian music (whatever it may be at the time), open road, and the window down.
But what about when partly cloudy is the weather forecast of your life that day? When it’s gray & dreary & you ‘just don’t feel like it.’ You know – those couch potato days.
Last week I came across a song on an old worship tape by Don Moen and it’s been the expression of my heart since. And I’ve found myself singing it this morning as I fight thru the wave of last night. And it makes it more real. May this be the cry of your heart.
I Will Sing (Don Moen)
Lord You seem so far away/a million miles or more it feels todayAnd though I haven’t lost my faith/I must confess right nowThat’s it hard for me to prayBut I don’t know what say/And I don’t know where to startBut as You give the grace/ With all that’s in my heart(chorus) I will sing/I will praiseEven in my darkest hour/Through the sorrow and the painI will sing/I will praiseLift my hands to honor You/Because Your Word is trueI will singLord it’s hard for me to see/All the thoughts and plans You have for meBut I will put my trust in You/Knowing that You died to set me freeBut I dont’ know what to say/And I don’t know where to startBut as You give the grace/With all that’s in my heart(chorus) I will sing/I will praiseEven in my darkest hour/Through the sorrow and the painI will sing/I will praiseLift my hands to honor You/Because Your Word is trueI will singI will sing/I will sing/I will sing

May we sing well today.
